The F4 RR is the higher-specification version with Öhlins and titanium rods. The JP ACS 060 replaces its throttle housing with a milled Ergal unit and a shorter cam.

Two Hundred and One Horsepower
The RR gets titanium connecting rods, a lightened crankshaft, higher compression and Öhlins suspension front and rear. It is the F4 with the specification MV would have built from the start if the price had allowed it.
Electronic Suspension on the Later Cars
From 2013 the RR could be ordered with Öhlins electronic damping adjustable from the dash, which was unusual on a motorcycle of that era. It is one of several details that make the RR feel considerably more modern than the base F4.
Precision at Small Openings
On an engine with this compression and this state of tune, the first ten degrees of throttle rotation determine whether a corner exit is smooth. A shorter cam and a machined bore both act on exactly that part of the range.
Original Cables
The conversion is mechanical and reversible. The motorcycle's own cables are retained, nothing is cut and refitting the standard housing leaves no evidence, which is worth having on a bike that appreciates rather than depreciates.
Cast Versus Milled
MV's housing is cast with a moulded cover. Machining the replacement from a billet gives a bore that is cut rather than formed, and the difference is felt in how consistently the tube rotates over years rather than months.
No Logo on the Flank
This is the unmarked version. On an F4 RR, whose owners are frequently particular about originality, a component that does not announce a second manufacturer is generally preferred.
