The First Generation
This fitment covers the RSV4 from its 2009 debut through the 2018 model year, the era when the V4 was held at 999.6 cc and the power came from everything except capacity.
Homologated for Superbike
Aprilia built the road bike to satisfy a racing regulation and then sold it as a motorcycle. The adjustable headstock and swingarm pivot are the clearest evidence.
Preparation Removes the Stand
Weight, ground clearance and organisers who would rather not see one. The switch is on the bracket and cannot stay.
What Follows
The controller cannot confirm the stand is retracted and stops the engine in gear. Nothing else on the build can be verified until that changes.
Satisfied Properly
This unit presents the expected state rather than shorting terminals, so the panel stays clear and nothing is stored.
Cast and Forged Together
The frame combines cast sections with forged parts and pressed plates, which is how Aprilia got the adjustability without losing rigidity.
