The JP ACC TR039 replaces the Speed Twin 1200's throttle assembly with a short-stroke unit that reaches full opening in sixty degrees instead of the rotation the factory chose.

A Modern Classic That Goes
Triumph put the high-output 1200 twin into the Bonneville chassis and produced something genuinely quick. The riding position is upright and relaxed, which suits a longer throttle sweep.
Grip Rubber
The tube takes a standard grip. Anybody moving an expensive pair across should expect to cut the old ones off rather than persuade them.
The Sensor Inside
Ride-by-wire measures grip angle and hands the figure to the engine controller. The assembly is therefore an instrument as much as a mechanism.
The Anodised Finish
Converted into the surface rather than painted onto it, which is why the assembly still looks the same after a season of cleaning products.
Road Legality
The throttle is part of the motorcycle's controls, and a part that changes their operation is worth declaring where local rules require it.
A Note on Warranty
A dealer will notice a changed throttle assembly. On a motorcycle still inside its term the standard part going back on before an appointment is the simpler path.
Adaptation, Not Calibration
Nothing inside the part is adjustable. The routine teaches the controller about the part rather than teaching the part about the motorcycle.
Why the Reset Exists
The controller stores what a released throttle looks like as a voltage, and every decision at small openings is measured from that number. Change the assembly and the stored figure belongs to a component no longer fitted. The learn routine tells it to look again.
When Not to Fit It
On a machine used mostly in traffic, mostly two-up or mostly on gravel. The part rewards deliberate throttle use and punishes casual throttle use, and there is no setting to change that balance afterwards.
