The JP ACC DU020 reduces the sweep between closed and wide open on the Monster 937, which is the movement a rider makes most often and thinks about least.

Aluminium Instead of Steel
Ducati abandoned the trellis for a front frame bolted to the heads, and the Monster lost weight everywhere. The bars are narrower than before and the throttle matters more as a result.
Grip Rubber
The tube takes a standard grip. Anybody moving an expensive pair across should expect to cut the old ones off rather than persuade them.
The Response Is Not Sharpened
The map is untouched and so is the relationship between opening and fuelling. What changes is the mechanical ratio between the hand and that opening.
Corner Exit
Opening from closed to wide on a fast exit is where the shorter sweep pays. The hand does it in one movement instead of two.
Storage
The standard assembly is plastic and will not corrode, but the connector will. A bag and a dry shelf are the whole of the requirement.
What It Does Not Do
No extra power, no different fuelling, no change to any rider aid. Anybody expecting the motorcycle to accelerate harder has misread the part.
The Reset Is Model Specific
Some manufacturers call it a throttle learn, others an adaptation reset. The tool differs and the effect is identical.
Sixty Against the Factory Figure
Manufacturers generally choose seventy to ninety degrees, because a generous sweep makes a powerful motorcycle forgiving to somebody not paying attention. Sound for a showroom, poor for a circuit. Sixty is short enough to remove the shuffle and long enough to leave usable resolution.
Cleaning It
Anodising tolerates the chemicals a motorcycle meets and does not tolerate a wire brush, which is true of every anodised part on the machine. Beyond that the finish outlasts the rider's interest in it.
