Positions for a Busy Rider
The reordered column suits somebody changing settings continuously rather than setting them once. On an S with semi-active damping there is more to change than on any other Multistrada.
Suspension on the Move
Damping mode, preload for a passenger, riding mode and traction. On a bike that carries luggage one week and nothing the next, those get adjusted constantly.
Cleaned Aggressively
Adventure bikes get pressure washed after every trip because of what they pick up. Sealed elements inside a milled body are specified for that rather than for weather.
Dust Outlasts Water

Ducati reduced the seat height without shortening the suspension stroke. It is the harder way to do it and it is why the V2 S is accessible without being compromised.
The Sensible Multistrada
It does most of what the V4 does at a lower weight and price and without the heat. Owners who have run both frequently conclude that the smaller one suits them better.
