The JP CJP 012D is the programmable fuel controller for the Streetfighter V2 955: a full map with every cell empty, waiting for somebody with software and a wideband sensor.

Naked, Same Engine
Ducati fitted a handlebar to the Panigale V2 and left the fuelling largely alone. Upright riding changes what the rider asks for far more than the map does.
Fully Reversible
Unplug the unit and the motorcycle is standard. Nothing has been written to the original controller at any point, which is the structural advantage this shares with the cheaper module.
Altitude and Temperature
The standard controller compensates using its own sensors and this unit applies its map on top. A map developed at sea level still works in the mountains, only less precisely.
Wideband or Nothing
Mapping without measuring the mixture is guesswork with an engine as the test piece. A wideband sensor and a display cost less than most exhaust systems.
The Two Units Compared
One arrives finished and asks nothing. This one arrives empty and asks for a wideband, a laptop and several evenings. Neither is better; they answer different questions.
What a Good Map Feels Like
Nothing in particular. The hesitation is gone, the surge is gone and the engine simply does what the hand asks. Good mapping is invisible.
Logging Software
A wideband with a logging output turns a road ride into data. Analysing it afterwards is safer and more productive than reading a display at speed.
Selling the Motorcycle
Include the map file or remove the unit. Handing over a programmable controller with nothing in it is worse than handing over a standard bike.
Riding the Empty Map First
Worth insisting on. A motorcycle you have felt with every cell at zero gives you a reference; one you started changing immediately gives you nothing to compare against.
