The JP CJP 172B manages injector opening time on the 302R ABS Euro 4 across a full two-axis map, programmed on a PC and stored as a file the owner keeps.

The Faired Version
Benelli put bodywork and clip-ons on the 300 twin and produced a small sports bike that undercut everything Japanese by a considerable margin.
Fully Reversible
Unplug the unit and the motorcycle is standard. Nothing has been written to the original controller at any point, which is the structural advantage this shares with the cheaper module.

Save the map before every session with a date in the filename. Anybody who has lost three evenings of work to an unsaved change only does it once.
Comparing Two Maps
The software shows them side by side. That is how an owner learns which changes did something and which were imagination, and it is impossible with a fixed curve.
Logging Instead of Watching
A logger records the mixture against revs and load so the analysis happens afterwards. It is safer than reading a display at speed and it produces better maps.
Write, Ride, Repeat
That is the whole method. Change a region, ride the same road at the same load, read the mixture and decide whether the change helped.
The Wideband Purchase
Budget for it alongside the unit. Mapping without one is the commonest reason a programmable controller ends up doing nothing at all.
Steady State Versus Transient
A dyno maps steady conditions well and transitions badly. The hesitation off a closed throttle usually has to be solved on a road, whatever the dyno sheet says.
The Difference in One Sentence
The preset module answers the question for you; this one gives you the tools and expects you to answer it yourself. Everything else about the two units — the wiring, the reversibility, the untouched original electronics — is identical.
