The JP ES KIT04 is both halves of the secondary air deletion for the Multistrada V2: the connector that satisfies the controller and the cover that closes the cylinder head.

Cornering ABS as Standard
A six-axis platform feeding lean-sensitive braking and traction. Ducati fits it across the range now rather than reserving it for the expensive models.
Do Not Skip the Airbox End
The port where the hose left the intake needs closing too, otherwise unfiltered air enters the engine and the outcome is worse than before.
On a V4
Four cylinders in a very compact package means everything on the rear bank needs the airbox out before it can be reached at all.
Type Approval
In markets where the equipment is part of the motorcycle's approval, removing it puts the machine outside road use until it is refitted.
Not a Tuning Change
No map is altered, no sensor is spoofed and no fuelling decision changes. The kit removes hardware rather than modifying behaviour.
Nothing Is Consumed
No gasket is destroyed and no fastener stretched. Everything that comes off the motorcycle can go back on it.

The rear cylinder sits under the tank and behind the frame, making it the awkward half of the job. Nothing about it is difficult once the bodywork is off and somewhere safe.

In markets where the secondary air system forms part of the motorcycle's approval, its removal takes the machine out of road specification until the parts return. That is local law rather than engineering, and the reversibility of the kit is precisely what makes complying with it straightforward.
If the Reeds Were Already Cracked
Then the airbox has soot in it and the filter is due whether or not the interval says so. Replacing it at the same time closes the job properly, because the residue that got in there does not leave on its own.
