Nothing on this job needs a special fitting or a diagnostic connection. It is tank off, connector out, eliminator in, tank on.
Where It Sits on the Triples
Generally above the airbox and behind the steering head, which is why the tank has to come off. On the larger Tigers it is buried further and the job is correspondingly less pleasant.
The Filter Tells the Story
Pull the airbox lid on a high-mileage Triumph and the state of the filter says whether the reeds have been passing gas the wrong way. It is the cheapest diagnosis available.
Two Connectors Look Similar
Triumph has used more than one plug across the range and across the years, which is why the part is listed against specific model years. Ordering by model name alone occasionally produces something that will not fit.
