The JP ES 007 is the electrical half of Ducati's secondary air deletion, and on the SuperSport 950 S it takes the place of the solenoid the engine controller spends its life watching.

A Bidirectional Quickshifter
Standard on the S and working cleanly in both directions, which suits an engine with this much torque available everywhere.
After a Termignoni
A racing system removes the restriction that was muffling the reaction. Owners fit the exhaust, hear the crackle and assume the exhaust caused it.
A V4 Sounds Different Again
Four closely spaced pulses fill the header continuously, and the crackle sits on top of an already busy note. It is quieter in character and no less present.
The Complete Path
Airbox, hose, reed assembly, cylinder head port and a monitored solenoid. A finished deletion accounts for all of them rather than the convenient ones.
Support the Lead
The eliminator needs a cable tie to an existing loom run rather than being left hanging. Anything swinging under a tank eventually finds something to rub against.
Refitting Takes the Same Time
There is no penalty for changing your mind beyond the evening it costs, which is the most important property of a reversible modification.

Refitting the original valve takes ten minutes and hands the next owner a motorcycle with nothing to explain. The parts take up almost no space.
Why the Solenoid Is the Part That Dies
It is a coil switching a small valve, bolted within a hand's width of a cylinder head and cycled every time the engine runs through its warm-up. Insulation ages under that treatment in a way that has nothing to do with how far the motorcycle has been ridden, which is why low-mileage machines turn up with exactly the same fault as hard-worked ones.
What the Valve Actually Sounds Like
On a cold start it clicks softly under the tank as the controller opens and closes it, and a valve that has started to stick sometimes buzzes instead. Riders who have heard that noise for years generally notice its absence long before they notice anything else about the deletion.
