The JP MJ 008 is the simpler of JetPrime's two fuel units for the VL Intruder C1500T: a curve somebody else worked out, rather than one the owner has to develop.

The Touring Intruder
A screen, panniers and a 1462 cc vee. Suzuki built it for riders who wanted an American motorcycle from a Japanese factory.
And With an Open Filter
More air on the intake side has the same effect from the other direction. The standard closed-loop correction handles part of it and runs out of authority for the rest, particularly at larger throttle openings.
On an Older Motorcycle
Early injection systems were mapped more coarsely than current ones and frequently ran leaner. A module tends to make a bigger difference on a machine from the two thousands than on one from last year.
Selling the Motorcycle
The module comes off in minutes and goes with the bike or stays with the owner. Either way the machine on offer is a standard one, which suits most buyers.
No Settings to Get Wrong
A preset curve cannot be misconfigured, cannot be lost when a battery is disconnected and cannot be blamed for a fault six months later. That reliability is the argument for buying the simpler of the two units.
The Size of It
A matchbox and a cable. Two hundred grams. There is no motorcycle on which fitting one is a packaging problem, only ones where the seat takes longer to remove.
The Question to Ask Yourself
Does the motorcycle irritate at small throttle openings? If the answer is yes, this is the cheapest thing that addresses it. If the answer is no, nothing here applies.
Nothing Draws Current at Rest
The module is powered from the injector circuit and does nothing with the ignition off. There is no parasitic drain and no reason to disconnect it for storage.
