The Ceremonial Version
Guzzi built the Corazzieri in the colours of the Italian presidential escort, in numbers small enough to make them collectable.
Nothing Is Reprogrammed
The standard controller keeps its own map, its own adaptations and its own fault memory. A workshop plugging in a diagnostic tool finds the motorcycle exactly as the factory left it, which is a genuine advantage over flashing the original unit.
It Does Not Touch Ignition
Advance and retard are the standard controller's business. A fuel module cannot alter them, which limits what it can achieve and also removes the commonest way to damage an engine electronically.
Fitting Time
Twenty minutes on a machine where the injector harness is under the seat, an hour where the tank has to come off. Nothing in either case requires a tool anybody would have to buy.
Where the Hesitation Lives
Closed to just-open is the hardest transition for any injection system, because the airflow is changing faster than the sensors can report it. Every complaint about snatchy fuelling traces back to that moment.
Compared With a Remap
A flash of the original controller reaches further and is harder to undo. This is the narrow, cheap, reversible option, and for most road riders it addresses the actual complaint.
Why Not Simply Adjust the Fuel Screw
Because there is no fuel screw. Injection removed every mechanical adjustment a carburettor offered, and everything that used to be a screwdriver job is now a decision made in software.
Six Cylinders
At the other extreme, an inline six is so smooth that a lean patch is easy to miss. The correction still applies; the rider simply has less to compare it against.
