The JP ES 016 exists because the Panigale V4 watches its plate lamp for current draw, and a modern LED unit simply does not draw enough to satisfy it.

A Front Frame
Ducati abandoned the trellis for a compact aluminium structure bolted to the engine, which is closer to a MotoGP chassis than to anything else on a road.
Presenting the Load
The eliminator supplies what the controller expects, so the warning clears and nothing is stored for a later diagnostic session to find.
The Load Is Tiny
A plate lamp draws very little, and the controller is watching for exactly that small figure. It notices its absence immediately.
What the Controller Measures
Current draw on the circuit. It has no way of knowing whether a lamp is present, only whether something is drawing the expected amount.
A Common Pairing
Plate lamp and indicator eliminators are frequently bought together, because the same tidy-up removes both and the same evening solves both.
The Loom Stays Original
No cut wires and no crimps, which matters on a motorcycle that will eventually be diagnosed by somebody who did not do the work.
The Connector Under the Tail
Reached with the seat and side panels off, which is the same disassembly the hanger removal requires. Nothing extra has to come apart.
Keep the Original Assembly
The standard lamp, its bracket and its fasteners belong together in a labelled bag. Refitting is a two-minute job with nothing needing replacement, and the person who eventually needs them is either an inspector or the next owner rather than you.
What Happens to the Old Bracket
The original plate holder generally comes off in one piece with the lamp still attached to it, which makes it easy to keep as a unit. Bagged whole rather than dismantled, it goes back on in ten minutes, and the fasteners staying with it is what makes that true.
