The JP KS MV001 puts a sealed button where the F4RC 1000's ignition barrel was, saving weight in the one place on a motorcycle where it costs the most.

Colours
Black is standard. Blue, red and titanium appear on the numbers where JetPrime offers them, anodised rather than painted.
Refitting
The standard block goes back on its own fasteners with its own connector, which takes about as long as removing it did.
Race Loom Variants
Where a machine runs a kit harness, the ignition side differs and so does the part number. The two are not interchangeable.
The Original Key
Keep it with the block. A barrel without its key is worth almost nothing and replacing both is considerably dearer than this part.
Between Sessions
The bike sits armed or dead depending on one press. There is nothing hanging out of the yoke to catch a glove or a knee.
The Immobiliser, Before Anything Else
If the key carries a chip, the aerial around the barrel belongs to the starting circuit and the engine will not run without it. Race looms and standalone controllers usually settle that already. On a standard bike it is the one thing that can stop this job.
