IN2503H is the cheapest item in the whole PC69 range and the one that decides where the rider ends up sitting. It locates the race seat on the subframe — either subframe, since both seats use the same bracket.

A Datum, Not a Fixing
Every other element of the tail takes its position from where this bracket puts the seat. Fit it a couple of millimetres proud on one side and the tail sits skewed; every panel afterwards gets forced into place to compensate, and the rider will feel it as an uneven seat long before anyone notices it visually. Set it carefully and check the tail is square before the foam goes on — afterwards the fixings are underneath the foam and you are working blind.
Check It After a Fall
When a bike goes down the tail usually survives and the attention goes to whatever is visibly scraped. This bracket is worth a look anyway: a tail loaded sideways puts that load straight into this fixing, and a bracket bent two or three millimetres holds the seat slightly out of true. That is a steady stress into the laminate that was never designed in. Straightening stainless is not the answer — replacing it is, and it costs very little.
