DescriptionThe whole story▼
Enduro riders spend most of the day in woods and on trails, but many events also include a cross test: a timed stage laid out on or around a motocross circuit, with jumps, berms and a fast, rough surface. For a Husqvarna FE 250 set up for the forest, it is a sudden change of pace. The rider goes from picking a way through roots to charging through a series of jumps, and the footpegs take the strain. Accossato makes enlarged footpegs in Ergal for the FE 250 of 2014 to 2016, in six colours.
Key Features
- Enlarged Accossato footpegs for the Husqvarna FE 250, 2014 to 2016
- Made from Ergal, a high-strength aluminium alloy
- More room for the boot on jumps and rough ground
- For motocross, enduro and off-road riding
- Six colour variants: orange, blue, green, black, red, Titanium
- Two pegs: left and right
- Later FE 250 model years have separate Accossato sets
- No ABE on file; for off-road competition
Construction and Material Quality
There is not much to say about these pegs beyond what Accossato states, and we prefer not to guess. They are enlarged footpegs made of Ergal, a high-strength aluminium alloy, and the maker intends them for motocross, enduro and off-road motorcycles. For the FE 250 of 2014 to 2016 they come as a pair, one peg for each side, in orange, blue, green, black, red or Titanium. Their purpose is to give the boot a broader, steadier base than a smaller peg can offer.
Jumps in the Middle of an Enduro
A cross test catches out riders who only train in the woods. The speeds are higher, the jumps are real jumps and the braking bumps in front of the turns can be deep, especially late in the day when every rider has been through several times. The FE 250 is the smallest of Husqvarna's four-stroke enduros and is happiest when it revs, so the rider keeps the engine spinning and uses the gearbox more than among the trees. Standing is the rule between the turns, with the body loose and the weight centred.
Many enduro riders visit a motocross track now and then for exactly this reason: to get used to jumping and to the rhythm of a prepared circuit before a race. It pays off in the test. A rider who knows how to absorb a take-off and let the bike land beneath them loses less time and takes fewer risks. On the pegs, the boots have to stay put through landings and hard braking; a broad, supportive surface helps them do that, and a well-fitting boot does the rest.
Fitment and Compatibility
The FE 250 appears three times in Accossato's footpeg list, once for each group of model years. The FR795 on this page is for 2014 to 2016. A bike from 2017 to 2023 needs the FR798, and one from 2024 to 2026 the FR809. Check the year of your FE 250 first, then compare the photos and the colours; we will gladly help if anything is uncertain. The same FR795 is also listed for the TE 250, the TC 125 and the FE 450.
Road Approval
We have no ABE or approval certificate for these pegs, and they are therefore offered for competition use.
