DescriptionThe whole story▼
Most lever adjustments are made standing beside the bike, which is why they so often feel wrong once you are riding. The position that matters is the one you ride in, so that is where the setting belongs. For the Street Triple 765 R, Accossato lists two brake levers, and the EDF011 is the one for the 2017 and 2018 model years: machined from aluminium, fitted to the original master cylinder, with an adjustable distance to the grip.
Key Features
- Brake lever for the Street Triple 765 R, 2017 and 2018
- Fitted to the original master cylinder
- Distance from the grip adjustable
- Blade lengths: short, standard (approximately 138 mm) and long
- Machined aluminium, anodised
- Blade anodised in one of seven colours, hub in black
- Fixed blade, no folding joint
- Supplied in an Accossato box
Construction and Material Quality
Shaped by CNC machining from aluminium and then anodised, the EDF011 has a black hub for the pivot and reach adjuster and a blade in black, blue, red, orange, gold, silver or green. It is a fixed lever with no joint along the blade, so the setting you choose is the setting you get, without any play between separate pieces. The anodised finish belongs to the metal's surface, which helps it keep its colour on a naked bike that is often parked outside.
Set It From the Saddle
Adjusting the reach properly takes a few minutes and either a helper or a paddock stand. Sit on the Street Triple 765 R with both feet on the pegs and your usual gloves on, and lean forward into the position you actually ride in, not the upright one you use at a standstill. Let your right hand rest on the grip with the fingers relaxed and pointing ahead. Now look at where the blade of the EDF011 meets them: ideally at the first joint of the index and middle fingers, with the wrist in line with the forearm. Adjust the reach until that is the case, then check the lever's angle as well; if it points too high or too low, have the position of the master cylinder on the bar corrected and properly tightened. Finally, test the result at low speed in a safe place. A setting found this way on the Street Triple 765 R rarely needs changing again, except when you move to much thicker or thinner gloves.
Fitment and Compatibility
The EDF011 appears in Accossato's list for the Street Triple 765 R of 2017 and 2018, on the original master cylinder. The same bike is also listed with the EDF035, which covers 2017 to 2022, so owners of a 2017 or 2018 bike should compare their original lever with the photos of both. For the left side, the EST333P is the clutch lever listed for the 2017 and 2018 R.
Road Approval
The EDF011 carries no documented German ABE and is therefore offered for track riding.
