On a 955 cc twin ridden between traffic lights, that reserve is not being used; the engine is nowhere near asking the airbox for everything it can give. Where it would matter is a track session at sustained high revs, and there the P08 is the better-matched part. The medium itself is dry non-woven, so there is no oil to migrate onto the air mass sensor, and it is restored with compressed air rather than replaced.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003ch2\u003eCare and cleaning\u003c\/h2\u003e\u003cp\u003eBlow it through from the clean side with compressed air, working outwards — a non-woven medium releases dust readily and needs nothing else in normal use. For a deeper clean, wash in lukewarm water with a mild detergent, rinse until the water runs clear, and let it dry fully in air; never with heat, never with a flame. Refit it dry.
