Four kilos for a litre superbike exhaust, against ten and a half standard. Spark calls the Moto GP silencer racing and extreme, and the numbers on the noise meter — 110 dB at 5.000 rpm — do not argue with that description.
Key Features
- Racing full system for the Suzuki GSX-R 1000 and GSX-R 1000 R, 2017 onwards.
- AISI 304 stainless steel collector, developed with endurance racing teams.
- Moto GP silencer in titanium — Spark's shortest and loudest option.
- 110 dB at 5.000 rpm, 115 dB at 7.000 rpm.
- 4,0 kg against 10,4 kg standard: 6,4 kg saved.
- Fits with the original fairings, footpegs and radiator.
Six Point Four Kilos
This is the lightest of the stainless-collector systems Spark builds for the GSX-R, and by a clear margin: 4,0 kg against 5,4 for the same collector with the 350 mm Force silencer. A Moto GP can is short and wide where a Force is long and narrow, and there is simply less of it.
It is also the cheapest of the three at 1.655 euro, which is the opposite of what people expect from the lightest option. Short cases use less titanium.
Loud, and Spark Says So
110 dB at 5.000 rpm and 115 at 7.000. Spark publishes both figures rather than one flattering number, and describes the silencer plainly as racing and extreme.
Those figures rule out a good many circuits. If your calendar includes tracks with a strict phonometric limit, the 350 mm Force version (GSU8804T) exists precisely for that, and Spark states it holds a 102 dB limit without a dB killer.
The Collector Is the Endurance Part
Spark's R&D on this motorcycle came out of work with World Endurance Championship teams and national championship squads. The collector is the shared component across the range — AISI 304 stainless, sized for a standard engine — and it is what the different silencers bolt to.
Building the front end in stainless rather than titanium is deliberate on an endurance part: it survives a season and several rebuilds.
Original Bodywork
Spark states the system is compatible with the original footpegs, fairings and radiator. That distinguishes it from the 2019 evolution developed with a British Superbike team, which is for tuned engines and can only be fitted with racing bodywork.
Track Use Only
No approval, no catalytic converter, no certificate. At 110 dB there was never going to be one. This system must not be fitted to a motorcycle ridden on public roads.
Fitment & Compatibility
Suzuki GSX-R 1000 and GSX-R 1000 R, 2017 onwards. The same silencer on a titanium collector is GSU8807T at 2.369 euro. The quieter Force alternative is GSU8804T at 1.737 euro.
Road Approval
None. Spark lists this system as not approved; it is built for closed-circuit use and must not be fitted to a motorcycle ridden on public roads.
