Key Features

- Öhlins part number 15450-01
- Inner Diameter 33.6 mm
- Outer Diameter 43.6 mm
- Length 2 mm
Function
The published figures are 33.6 mm, 43.6 mm, 2 mm. Measure the old part against them before ordering. Pins and dowels locate parts to each other; without them the assembly is merely clamped, not positioned. Small parts are what hold a rebuild together — the wrong circlip or washer is enough to fail the job. Circlips hold axial position under load; a sprung one lets the assembly walk.
Why the Original
Öhlins publishes dimensions for its service parts so a workshop can verify before it fits. Buying the individual part rather than a complete assembly is what makes servicing an Öhlins unit worthwhile. We can supply the whole position from the drawing rather than the single piece if that is easier. The Öhlins exploded view names the number for each position; we can look it up if you do not have it.
Identifying the Right Part
If the unit is already open, compare the dimensions below with the part in your hand before ordering 15450-01. Check inner diameter 33.6 mm, outer diameter 43.6 mm, length 2 mm against what you have removed; a close size is not the same part. These are the parts that are easy to lose on the bench and impossible to improvise afterwards. Washers spread load and set clearance; in a damper both of those are specifications.
Fitting and Setup Service
Öhlins recommends that its units are serviced by an authorised centre. We are one: rebuild, revalve and setup all happen in our own workshop.
