DescriptionThe whole story▼
Club racing runs on routine. A garage shared with three other riders, a board with the session times on it, and the same sequence of jobs between every outing. What nobody wants inside that routine is a brake that changes its mind. Accossato's ceramic option for the CFMOTO NK 450 of 2024 to 2026 is the AGPA96ZXC, in which the AGPA96 plate carries the ZXC ceramic racing compound, described by the company as a ceramic mixture meant for racing.
Key Features
- Front brake pads for the CFMOTO NK 450, seasons 2024 to 2026
- AGPA96ZXC: the AGPA96 plate with the ZXC ceramic racing compound
- Accossato describes a ceramic compound made for racing
- A choice for machines run in club series and at track meetings
- Two pads to a box, which is what one caliper takes
- Check how many calipers the front wheel of your NK 450 carries
- The same plate also comes in OR, ST, EV1 and EV2
- Rear wheel: AGPP181, same years; no German ABE is on file
Construction and Material Quality
ZXC is the ceramic name in Accossato's list of compounds, and the company places it in racing. On a light machine such as the NK 450 a material of that kind tends to work within a narrow band of conditions all weekend, because the bike does not swing between extremes of heat the way a heavy one does. What the rider is buying is therefore steadiness at the lever rather than a dramatic first bite, and steadiness is what lets somebody ride to a plan through a whole session.
The Feel at the Lever, Session After Session
Riders describe brakes with their hands rather than with numbers. There is an amount of travel before anything happens, then a zone where pressure turns into slowing, and everybody builds a mental map of both. When that map holds good from Saturday morning to Sunday afternoon, a rider can spend the weekend improving corners instead of relearning the controls. When it does not, every outing starts with a careful lap to find out what the brake is doing today, and on a short circuit a careful lap is a large fraction of the session.
The routine around a club weekend is short. Between outings, look into the caliper on both sides, run a fingernail along the disc where the pads sweep, glance at the fluid and keep anything oily away from the friction faces. A new set of pads is bedded in with a series of firm stops before the first timed lap; the lever then wants pumping until it is hard, and the first corner of an out lap is not the place to discover that it is not.
Fitment and Compatibility
The list ties this pad to the NK 450 of 2024 to 2026. It is a narrow window, and the article number belongs to that machine rather than to CFMOTO naked bikes in general. One box is what a single caliper needs, so look at the front wheel and buy accordingly. Material is renewed in pairs and across the whole axle at once. For the rear wheel of the NK 450 Accossato lists the AGPP181 over the same three seasons, and discs for this model are not part of the range.
Road Approval
Neither a German ABE nor any test documentation exists here for the AGPA96ZXC, so we list it as a competition part rather than as road equipment.
Scope of Delivery
One box, two AGPA96 pads in the ZXC ceramic racing compound, the pair for one caliper.
