Fine airborne material is the fraction that reaches the bore and the ring pack; coarse material is caught by anything. On a small single expected to cover very high mileage over many years, moving that barrier finer is a cheap decision with a long payoff — provided the engine has flow to spare, which at these outputs it does. None of this makes the motorcycle quicker, and a description that implied otherwise would be selling something else. A filter can only ever return the restriction it was adding, and on a healthy standard intake that is a small quantity.
