Sprint Filter P08 Air Filter for Road & Track – KTM 390 Adventure (2020–2023) PM200S

The 390 Adventure is the small ADV that people genuinely tour on — loaded, two-up on occasion, holding a speed for hours rather than dipping in and out of traffic. That combination of sustained load and mixed surfaces is unusually hard on an air filter, because it stacks the two things that load an element fastest: high continuous airflow and dust. The Sprint Filter P08 PM200S is a dry polyester medium with roughly double the filtering surface, which is exactly the property that matters when both are happening at once.

A small engine working hard is the demanding case

Filter restriction is usually quoted as a peak figure measured for a few seconds. A 373 cc single hauling luggage over a pass never sees that; what it sees is an hour at high sustained throttle, where the pressure drop across the element is a continuous cost rather than a momentary one. There is no surplus power on a bike this size to absorb it. Twice the filtering surface means the element is operating at a smaller fraction of its capacity for the whole of that hour.

What you do not have to carry

No spare element, no filter oil, no drying time. Out, blown through from the clean side with any air line, back in dry. On a bike chosen specifically to go beyond its dealer network, removing one consumable from the packing list is worth more than a specification.

Care and cleaning

Compressed air from the clean side outwards. For a deeper clean, wash in lukewarm water with a mild detergent, rinse until the water runs clear, and dry fully in air — never with heat, never with a flame. Refit dry; no oiling step at any point.
