Sprint Filter P08 Air Filter for Road & Track – Honda NC750 (2014–2020) PM181S

The NC750 was never really one motorcycle. Honda built a 745 cc parallel twin, gave it a manual gearbox or a dual-clutch automatic depending on what the buyer wanted, and then wrapped it in whatever bodywork the market asked for across seven model years. What stayed constant underneath was the induction side, which is why a single Sprint Filter element serves the lot. The P08 PM181S is that element: a dry polyester panel that drops into the standard airbox of every one of them, with no modification, no remap and no argument about which variant is on the workshop lift.

Parts that serve one model year of one variant go out of production when that variant does. That is a quiet advantage of the PM181S and it grows with time: five machines share it, spanning the 700 and 750 twins, so it remains a stocked item long after any single NC has stopped being a current model.

The bike that shifts for itself and the owner who still opens the airbox

A dual-clutch NC750 removes a lot of mechanical involvement from riding it, which tends to concentrate the owner's involvement in the few places that are left — fluids, chain, filters. The air filter is the one item on that short list where the choice actually decides how much work there is later. A paper element commits you to ordering and fitting a new one on a schedule. A woven polyester element commits you to a compressed-air line and ten minutes. Sprint Filter designs the P08 to last the life of the motorcycle, so the decision is made once.

Care and cleaning

There is nothing to oil, which removes the step most people associate with a reusable filter. What remains is compressed air from the clean side, directed outwards, and — when a deeper clean is due — lukewarm water with a mild detergent, rinsed until the water runs clear.
