The Dakar is Spark's rally shape: a plain titanium tube, mounted high and to the side, with a TIG-welded outlet and no decoration anywhere on it. Named after the desert rally, and drawn for people who think an adventure bike should look like one.
Key Features
- Euro 5+ approved slip-on for the Honda XL750 Transalp, 2023 to 2026.
- Dakar silencer with a titanium body and a TIG-welded outlet.
- High lateral mounting position.
- Connecting pipe with a higher flow than the original, stainless steel.
- Minimalist stainless steel heat shield.
- 2,6 kg against 3,9 kg standard.
Mounted High
This is the difference that decides it. The Dakar sits up and outboard rather than tucked low, which is where a rally silencer belongs: clear of ruts, clear of water crossings, and out of the way of a pannier frame.
Spark's Force Evo slip-on for the same motorcycle keeps the standard low position and costs 72 euro less. Neither is better; they are different answers to where you ride.
A Deliberately Plain Body
Spark calls the Dakar minimalist and means it. There is no carbon cap, no groove pressed into the case, no coloured band — just a titanium tube with a TIG-welded outlet at the end of it. The welds are left visible because on a design this bare they are the only detail there is.
Spark's stated reason for the construction is strength and durability rather than looks. A rally-shaped silencer takes knocks that a low-mounted one never sees.
The Pipe Flows More Than Standard
The connecting pipe is stainless and, in Spark's own words, has a higher flow than the original. That is where the performance change on a slip-on actually comes from — the silencer alone can only do so much on a Euro 5+ system.
The heat shield on it is stainless too, and deliberately small. On the Force Evo the shield is carbon and integrated into the silencer; here it is a separate minimal piece, in keeping with the rest.
One Kilo Three Hundred
2,6 kg against a standard 3,9. Less than the Force Evo saves, because the Dakar is a bigger case with a longer connecting pipe and a high mounting bracket. Weight is not what this version is for.
Approved, and No Remap
Euro 5+ homologated with an EC certificate from Spark, and no modification to the motorcycle beyond fitting it. Spark states that its Transalp slip-ons deliver their performance without further changes to the bike.
The Dark Version
The same silencer with a black electro-coloured stainless steel body is GHO2002DOM, at the same 797 euro. Same shape, same mounting, same approval — the choice is bare titanium or black.
Fitment & Compatibility
Honda XL750 Transalp, 2023 to 2026, including the E-Clutch version. The low-mounted Force Evo alternative is GHO2001TOM at 725 euro.
Road Approval
EC type-approved to Euro 5+. Spark supplies the homologation certificate with the part; file it with the vehicle documents.
