How to measure your helmet size correctly: To find the right helmet size, measure your head circumference with a flexible tape measure.
It is important that the tape measure runs around the widest part of the head – only then will you get a correct result.
Place the tape measure at the front, about 1–2 cm above the eyebrows, and run it along the sides above the ears.
At the back, the tape must run over the largest part of the back of the head (not too low on the neck). The tape may run slightly at an angle – what matters is that it sits all the way around the largest points of the head.
Make sure the tape measure sits snugly but does not dig in. Measure 2–3 times for the most accurate result. You can then compare the measured value in centimetres (cm) with our size chart.
Tips for an accurate result
- Keep hair flat (e.g. do not measure over a voluminous hairstyle)
- Keep the tape horizontal, i.e. along the largest circumference
- Do not measure too loosely
- For values between two sizes:
→ usually choose the larger size (depending on helmet model / fit)
Important note on fit
The right helmet should fit firmly without causing uncomfortable pressure points.
A new helmet may feel a little tighter at first, as the inner lining adapts slightly over time.

Lavender is not a colour the helmet industry offers often, and the Flaman pattern gives it flowing shapes rather than hard racing angles. This is the one that does not look like every other helmet in the car park.
An HPFC shell in three sizes
The HPFC shell is what makes the numbers work: 1500 grams, ECE 22.06, and a price that leaves room for the rest of your gear.
Three shell sizes cover XXS to XXXL. That is more than the single-shell helmets in this bracket manage, and it means the small sizes are not carrying a mid-size shell's worth of polystyrene.

About the Flaman Lavender finish
Soft violet over a darker base, with the Flaman lines following the shell's curves instead of cutting across them. Matt suits it — gloss would push the colour towards sweet, while the flat finish keeps it grown-up. LS2 also offers a matching lavender spoiler and top vent if you want the whole helmet in one tone.
Airflow from the top down
Air enters at the crown and leaves through the rear extractors, carried across the scalp by ducts cut into the polystyrene. There is no chin intake — the airflow here is designed around long, steady speeds rather than track heat.
Ehrlich gesagt: Eine Kinnbelüftung hat der Challenger II nicht. Sportlichere Helme führen dort Luft direkt aufs Visier, was gegen Beschlag hilft — hier übernimmt das der mitgelieferte Pinlock. Wer viel im Stadtverkehr bei Kälte fährt, sollte das wissen; auf der Autobahn fällt es kaum auf.
Seeing out
Vision is the point here: a Max Vision aperture, scratch-resistant coating, UV protection, and a twin-injection seal around the edge. The supplied Pinlock 120XLT insert handles fogging; the button lock stops the visor lifting at speed.
The sun visor drops down from inside the shell and retracts fully out of the way. LS2 fits it with a tool-free removal system, so cleaning it — or taking it out entirely — needs no workshop trip.
Die Knopfverriegelung hält das Visier auch bei Autobahntempo geschlossen — ohne sie hebt der Fahrtwind ein Visier irgendwann an. Ein Handgriff öffnet sie, auch mit Handschuhen.
Holding on, and letting go
Retention is a micrometric metal fastener — set once, one click thereafter. The liner has an emergency release so first responders can remove the cheek pads without moving your head.
Mehrdichtes EPS heißt: unterschiedlich harte Schaumzonen in einer Schale. Harte Bereiche fangen schwere Schläge ab, weichere die leichten — ein einheitlicher Block kann immer nur einen von beiden Fällen gut abdecken.
The bit you actually touch
COOLMAX is the liner material, chosen for moisture management on long days. Add a magnetic chin curtain that clicks into place without fiddling, and pre-moulded recesses for LS2's current Bluetooth system.
Die Aussparungen für das LS2-Bluetooth-System sind schon im EPS geformt. Wer eine Gegensprechanlage nachrüstet, muss also nichts ausschneiden oder kleben — die Lautsprecher verschwinden bündig, ohne aufs Ohr zu drücken.
What it is built for
Der Challenger II ist ein Tourenhelm und macht daraus keinen Hehl: ruhig statt sportlich, komfortabel statt kompromisslos leicht, mit einer Ausstattung, die auf lange Tage ausgelegt ist.
