The RC and the SCS
This generation brought the RC with its racing graphics and the SCS with a Rekluse centrifugal clutch, alongside a steady stream of limited editions. Mechanically they share a chassis, an engine and this switch mounting.
Aligned Bolt Geometry
The two clamp bolts sit on a line square to the handlebar. If the bike has been fitted with an aftermarket cylinder whose bolts are staggered, the offset version is the correct part instead.
A Wide Rear on a Naked Bike
The Dragster's 200-section tyre on spoked aluminium rims gives it a stance nothing else in the class has and costs it some of the Brutale's agility. It is a trade MV made openly and one its buyers evidently accept.
Deliberate Throttle Application
A heavy rear wheel needs careful loading on corner exit, and the rider's hand is doing precise work exactly where the right-hand switch sits. A cockpit that feels solid under that hand is not merely a cosmetic preference.
Exposed Everywhere
Trellis frame, single-sided swingarm, spoked rims and no bodywork at all. The handlebar area is one of the few places where an ordinary industrial component appears on this motorcycle, and it is directly in view.
Sealed Construction
Sealed switch elements inside a one-piece milled housing. There is no seam for water to enter and no clipped joint to develop play under the triple's vibration over several seasons.
Black Anodised
One finish. Dragsters frequently arrive in assertive limited-edition colours, and against those a cockpit component that stays quiet is generally the better decision.
