DescriptionThe whole story▼

An M 1000 RR rarely sees a car park. Once the FXR-BM05 rearset or the M accessory rearset is on the bike, the side stand can come off, and the only thing standing in the way is the gear lever, which shares that mounting point. This bracket takes the linkage over and the stand can go.

Key Features

  • Lets the side stand be removed with the FXR-BM05 rearset
  • Also works with the BMW M Competition and M accessory rearsets
  • Machined from aluminium, black anodised
  • Carries the gear lever on its own mount
  • No registration required, according to Gilles

Machined, not bent

The bracket is cut from solid aluminium and anodised black, so it matches the rest of the rearset rather than looking like a workshop fix.

One part, several bikes

Gilles lists the same bracket for the S 1000 RR and the M 1000 R, wherever one of those rearsets is fitted.

Road Approval

For the BMW M1000RR, Gilles states that this part needs no approval. There is no certificate to carry and nothing to have examined; correct fitting is the whole requirement.

Scope of Delivery

What arrives is 1x gear lever bracket HA-US-57 and 1x mounting kit.

Fitting

The bracket takes over the mounting point that the side stand used to occupy, so the gear linkage keeps its pivot once the stand is gone.
