DescriptionThe whole story▼

For the 2025 Yamaha YZ250FX, Accossato lists the AGPA288 front pad, and this version comes in the Sintered (ST) compound. It suits cross-country riders who ride in every season and want a front brake that keeps the same character through cold starts, wet forest sections and long, hot descents. Accossato describes the sintered material as holding high, steady grip across temperatures and working well in the wet. Note that the listing covers only the 2025 model year of the YZ250FX.

Key Features

  • Front brake pads for the Yamaha YZ250FX, model year 2025
  • AGPA288 shape in the Sintered (ST) compound, code AGPA288ST
  • Steady friction in cold and hot conditions, according to Accossato
  • Dependable bite on a wet disc
  • Two pads in the box, one set for the front caliper
  • An STMX off-road version of the same pad is listed
  • No German ABE on file; intended for competition

Construction and Material Quality

Accossato's sintered compound in the AGPA288 is described as maintaining a high and constant level of friction regardless of whether the brake is cold or hot, with good grip in the wet. That makes it a straightforward all-season option. The manufacturer also emphasises long life and a low tendency to fade, as the material does not overheat easily. Each box contains two pads, enough for one caliper.

A Single Model Year

Accossato's listing for this pad on the YZ250FX is limited to 2025. For the 2015 to 2021 bikes the brand names the AGPA110 instead, and it lists nothing for 2022 to 2024. Before ordering, check the model year on your registration or frame and, if in doubt, compare the shape of the pad you remove with the product picture.

All-Season Riding

A cross-country bike like the YZ250FX may start the day on frozen ground and finish it in sunshine, and its rider wants the brake to behave the same way throughout. Sintered pads are the typical choice for that. For the dirtiest conditions, Accossato offers the STMX version of the AGPA288. Clean the caliper after muddy outings, keep the disc free of lubricant and bed in new pads with a few controlled stops.

Fitment and Compatibility

Accossato assigns the AGPA288 to the front of the 2025 Yamaha YZ250FX. For 2015 to 2021 it lists the AGPA110 at the front and the AGPP106 at the rear. No rear pad is listed for 2025 in this data, so check your rear caliper separately. The DK168 and DK268 discs are named for the YZ250FX.

Road Approval

We hold no German ABE or other approval documents for this pad. It is sold for closed-course and competition use.

Scope of Delivery

Two sintered front pads in one box, a set for the front caliper of the YZ250FX.
