DescriptionThe whole story▼
Supermoto racing is short, noisy and decided under braking. For SWM SM 500 R riders who enter club races or timed practice sessions, Accossato makes front pad AGPA112 in the EV2 racing compound, listed for model years 2018 to 2020. This is a mixture for the stopwatch rather than the commute, aimed at riders who arrive at the first corner with the front wheel barely touching the ground.
Key Features
- Front pad AGPA112 for the SWM SM 500 R, 2018 to 2020
- EV2 racing compound, article number AGPA112EV2
- Accossato: a top racing compound
- Built for hard, repeated stops during a race
- Suits qualifying laps and timed sessions
- Intended for the circuit rather than daily use
- Also offered as OR, ST, EV1 and ZXC
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato calls EV2 one of its top racing compounds. That places it firmly on the circuit: it is meant for stops made from high speed, lap after lap, with little time for the disc to cool between corners. The company, which was founded in Moncalieri near Turin in 1969, says its pads combine low wear with controlled heat and fade and a high stopping force.
Race Weekend with the SM 500 R
A supermoto meeting often packs practice, qualifying and several heats into a single day. The front brake works hardest at the end of the main straight and into the hairpins, where riders slide the rear and trail the front brake deep into the turn. A racing pad has to deliver the same bite in the last lap as in the first.
Between sessions, look at the pads, check the fluid level and let the caliper cool before you touch it. If the lever starts to travel further, bleed the system. Many racers carry a spare set in the van so that a worn pair can be swapped before the final.
Fitment and Compatibility
AGPA112 is listed by Accossato for the front of the SWM SM 500 R from 2018 to 2020. For the rear brake Accossato lists AGPP80. Change both front pads together and bed them in during the first practice laps with progressively firmer stops.
Road Approval
There are no ABE or German approval records for this pad on our side. Its use is limited to racing and competition.
Scope of Delivery
The box holds two EV2 pads, one complete set for the front caliper.
