DescriptionThe whole story▼
Long rides on the Kawasaki Ninja 400 demand more than just speed — they demand comfort that lasts from the first mile to the last. The Puig Z-Racing windscreen reshapes the aerodynamic environment around you, diverting airflow cleanly over your helmet and shoulders so that fatigue stays off the agenda whether you are commuting, touring or pushing hard on a trackday.
Key Features
- Aerodynamically optimised double-bubble profile developed in a virtual wind tunnel, channelling air efficiently over helmet and upper body
- Lateral cutaways redirect wind pressure away from shoulders, reducing rider fatigue on longer rides
- 3 mm PMMA acrylic construction — high-impact resistant, UV-stable and scratch-resistant for lasting optical clarity
- 2 mm rounded edges throughout for increased safety and a refined, factory-quality finish
- Plug-and-play fitment to original mounting points — no additional hardware required, installation in approximately 10–15 minutes
- ABE approval and TÜV-compliant: fully road-legal for everyday use in Germany and across Europe
- Available in seven tint options to match your Ninja 400's livery or personal preference
Engineered for All-Day Comfort
Puig developed the Z-Racing screen at their Barcelona facility using virtual wind-tunnel simulation. The raised profile lifts incoming airflow upward and away from the cockpit, while the double-bubble form distributes pressure more evenly across the screen's surface. The practical result is a noticeably calmer ride at motorway speeds and beyond — less buffeting on your helmet, less load on your arms and shoulders, and a more relaxed posture even when you are adopting an aggressive tuck. Riders who cover distance regularly will feel the difference within the first hour.
Built for the Sportier Riding Position
The Z-Racing geometry suits riders who prefer to stay low and forward over the tank. Rather than fighting the airstream, the screen works with your body position, smoothing turbulence so that the Ninja 400's light, agile handling can be exploited with full confidence. It is equally at home on a Sunday morning B-road blast as it is on a track-day circuit, making it one of the most versatile screen upgrades available for this platform.
Puig Hi-Tech Quality, Made in Barcelona
Every Z-Racing screen is manufactured from 3 mm high-impact PMMA acrylic with UV inhibitors built into the material — not applied as a surface coating — ensuring the screen resists yellowing and micro-crazing over years of use. All edges are radiused to 2 mm for safety and a clean aesthetic. The screen is supplied as model VS3 and arrives with aerodynamic documentation included in the box.
Fitment & Compatibility
This windscreen is precision-engineered to fit the Kawasaki Ninja 400 for model years 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022 and 2023. It mounts directly to the original OEM fixing points with no modification required and is fully reversible, allowing you to return to the stock screen at any time.
