DescriptionThe whole story▼

Pull away from the lights, roll into a car park, crawl through a queue of traffic: on a Kawasaki Ninja 650 used as a daily bike, these are the moments when the rear brake does most of its work. Accossato lists the AGPP88 rear pad in the Organic mixture for the Ninja 650 from 2017 to 2026, including the Performance and Tourer ABS versions. It gives the pedal a soft, proportional feel and aims for long life with minimal disc wear.

Key Features

  • Rear pads AGPP88 for the Kawasaki Ninja 650, 2017 to 2026
  • Standard, Performance and Tourer with ABS
  • Organic mixture, SKU AGPP88OR
  • Accossato: long-lived and gentle on the rotor
  • Proportional pedal for slow manoeuvres
  • Runs quietly around town
  • ST is the alternative on this plate
  • No ABE on file; for competition

Construction and Material Quality

The maker's claim for this recipe is modest and practical: it lasts and it does not chew through discs. At the back of a Ninja 650 that clocks up commuting miles, where the pedal is touched many times on every trip, that pays off in pads that stay in service longer and a rear rotor that rarely needs attention. Accossato adds that controlled temperatures help its pads avoid fading. The organic block is attached to the regular AGPP88 plate.

Slow-Speed Control With the Right Foot

Experienced riders use the rear brake to steady a bike at walking pace, for example during a tight U-turn or while threading between cars. The trick is a light, constant pressure, and that is easier when the pad responds gently and in proportion. The organic set suits this style of riding on the Ninja 650 and helps less experienced owners pick it up.

The rear caliper sits close to the chain, so check that no lubricant has reached the disc after servicing the drive. Look at the pad thickness when the rear tyre is changed, and make sure the pedal has a little free play before the pads bite.

Fitment and Compatibility

For the back of the Ninja 650, Accossato gives AGPP88 across a long span, 2017 to 2026, and includes the Performance and Tourer versions with ABS. The front of the 2017 to 2023 bikes takes AGPA72, and the Accossato disc for the model is DK236. There is one rear caliper, so a single box covers it. If the bike came to you second-hand, compare the old pads with the new ones first.

Road Approval

We hold no ABE or German approval certificate for AGPP88OR. It is sold for competition purposes.
