The Audace is the California 1400 with attitude, and some owners ride it accordingly: brisk on winding roads, leaning to the limit of the footboards and braking late into bends. For that sportier style Accossato offers the AGPA96 front pad in its EV1 street/track compound, article AGPA96EV1, listed for the Moto Guzzi California Audace 1400 from 2015 to 2017. It gives more bite than a gentle cruising pad while remaining suited to everyday road use.

Construction and Material Quality
Accossato says EV1 provides excellent grip for street riding and for amateur track use. On the Audace that means a stronger response for riders who push the big twin through curves and want the brakes to keep up. Accossato's general claims of slow wear, strong stopping and fade controlled by limited heat apply here too. The EV1 layer is bonded to the AGPA96 plate for the standard front calipers.
A Cruiser Ridden With Intent
Cruisers are not built for racing, but the Audace has enough torque to make a mountain road entertaining. Riders who enjoy that tend to approach corners faster and rely on the front brake to set the entry speed. A street and track pad gives a crisper bite for those moments, and some owners also take their Guzzi to one of the relaxed open track days that welcome all kinds of bikes.
If you go to a circuit, remember that ground clearance is the main limit on a cruiser; brake in a straight line and keep the pace sensible. Check the fluid level and pad thickness before and after the day.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato catalogues AGPA96 for the front of the Moto Guzzi California Audace 1400, model years 2015 to 2017. The rear takes AGPA92 for the same period, and no Accossato disc is listed. Two boxes are needed for the two front calipers.
Road Approval
No ABE or German approval certificate is on file for AGPA96EV1. It is supplied for racing and competition.
