Measure the old part against them before ordering. The reservoir takes the oil the shaft displaces as it enters the damper. The separating piston or bladder inside keeps gas and oil apart; if it fails, the damping goes with it. Fittings are specific to the hose and the housing they connect.

Why the Original

Suspension is one of the few areas where the original part is genuinely the cheaper decision. The part number is the contract: it defines material, dimension and finish together. For a full rebuild, the seal kit plus the wear parts is usually the sensible order. We can check the number against the Öhlins exploded view before you order — just ask.

Identifying the Right Part

If the unit is already open, compare the dimensions below with the part in your hand before ordering 00636-30. Check dimension a 12 mm, dimension b 12 mm, dimension c 220 mm against what you have removed; a close size is not the same part. Hose-mounted reservoirs allow installation where a piggyback would foul the chassis. The reservoir hose carries the full gas charge and is pressure-tested accordingly.

Fitting and Setup Service

If you would rather not open the damper yourself, we can do it — we are an authorised Öhlins service centre and rebuild these units as a matter of routine.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 00636-30

Category: Hoses

Dimension A: 12 mm

Dimension B: 12 mm

Dimension C: 220 mm

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/00636-30_e5b6a119-000d-4942-aa1e-71c1dccf8a1b.png?v=1788869969
