DescriptionThe whole story▼

Accossato's ceramic racing pad gives GSX-8S race teams one more option to test when chasing tenths. AGPA38 in the ZXC ceramic racing mixture is the front pad for the Suzuki GSX-8S from 2023 to 2026. It is meant for the paddock, not the street, and suits riders and mechanics who approach brake set-up methodically, comparing compounds over a race weekend before deciding which to use in the race.

Key Features

  • Front pads for the Suzuki GSX-8S, 2023 to 2026
  • ZXC ceramic racing compound, SKU AGPA38ZXC
  • Ceramic compound Accossato calls ideal for racing
  • For methodical set-up in the paddock
  • Two boxes cover both front calipers
  • Rear pad: AGPP88
  • Same compound on both sides
  • No ABE on file; race use only

Construction and Material Quality

ZXC is described by Accossato as a ceramic mixture that is ideal for racing, and it is the most focused of the compounds on this plate. The company's general promises of slow wear, controlled heat and high stopping force apply here as well.

A Methodical Approach in the Paddock

The paddock is full of opinions about brake pads, and the only reliable answer comes from testing on your own bike. For a GSX-8S, that means a baseline session on the known pads, then a session on ZXC with the same tyres, pressures and suspension settings. The rider notes the initial bite, the feel while trail-braking and whether the lever stays consistent. The mechanic records lever position, pad thickness before and after, and track temperature. After two or three sessions, a pattern usually appears.

When changing pads in the paddock, work on a clean mat, spray the discs with brake cleaner and let them dry, check that the pads sit correctly and pump the lever until it is firm before the bike rolls out. Never leave the bike with a soft lever at the pit exit, and never send it out on pads that have not been bedded in.

Fitment and Compatibility

Accossato lists AGPA38 for the GSX-8S 800 from 2023 to 2026. With two front calipers, the GSX-8S needs two boxes. The rear pad is AGPP88. On the same front plate, Sintered, EV1 and EV2 are also available.

Road Approval

AGPA38ZXC has no ABE or German test documents on our side, so it is sold for motorsport.
