DescriptionThe whole story▼
On a Suzuki GSX-8S used in the city, the rear brake is part of every short trip: slowing for speed bumps, holding at lights and helping with tight turns into side streets. AGPP88 in the Organic (OR) mixture is Accossato's rear pad for the GSX-8S from 2023 to 2026. It is intended for urban riders, commuters and learners on the naked twin who want a quiet, progressive rear brake that is kind to the disc.
Key Features
- Rear pads for the Suzuki GSX-8S, 2023 to 2026
- Organic compound, SKU AGPP88OR
- Long life, gentle on the disc, per Accossato
- Progressive response for city riding
- Quiet at low speed
- Front pad listed: AGPA38
- Sintered version also available
- No German ABE with us; track use
Construction and Material Quality
The Organic mixture, Accossato says, gives a long service life and keeps disc wear low. For a city bike whose rear brake is used lightly but constantly, that is a sensible choice. The maker also mentions good stopping force and moderate temperatures.
City Riding on the GSX-8S
The GSX-8S is light and narrow, which makes it a good city bike, and its upright position gives a clear view over traffic. In town, a gentle touch on the rear brake keeps the bike steady at walking pace, especially during U-turns and in queues. An organic pad responds gradually, so the rider can control speed precisely. Riding schools value the same quality on training bikes, because learners use the rear brake often and softly.
Keep the rear disc clean and free of chain lube, which is easily flung onto it. Check the pedal height after fitting new pads, and make sure the rear wheel spins freely. Look at the pads whenever you clean and lube the chain; a thin rear pad is easy to miss. If the pedal starts to sit lower than usual or the rear brake squeals, take the pads out and look at both the friction surface and the disc before riding again.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists AGPP88 for the rear caliper of the GSX-8S 800 from 2023 to 2026. The front pad is AGPA38. The rear plate is also made as Sintered for riders who ride through the wet season.
Road Approval
No ABE or German test documents for AGPP88OR are on file with us. It is supplied for competition use.
