DescriptionThe whole story▼
On a Kawasaki Z H2 the rear brake is easy to forget, but it does useful work: steadying the bike in slow traffic, holding it on a hill and smoothing out tight turns. Accossato's AGPP88 rear pad in the Organic mixture fits the Z H2 from 2020 to 2026. It is intended for owners who use their supercharged naked in town and for short trips, and who want a quiet, gentle rear brake that looks after the disc.
Key Features
- AGPP88 rear pads for the Kawasaki Z H2, 2020 to 2026
- Organic mixture, article AGPP88OR
- Accossato: sustained performance, minimal disc wear
- Smooth pedal for low-speed control
- Quiet during city riding
- Effective without warming up
- Also available on this plate as ST
- No German approval held; for track use
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato says this compound keeps working over a long life and restricts wear on the disc. For a rear brake that is used mostly at modest effort, that is a sensible trade. The company also points to its pads keeping heat in check, which reduces fade, and to strong braking when needed. The Organic material sits on the AGPP88 plate.
Slow Traffic on a Fast Bike
A powerful naked bike in city traffic can feel restless: a sharp throttle, a firm chassis and little patience for walking pace. A light touch of rear brake while holding a steady throttle helps smooth things out, especially in queues and U-turns. The Organic pad bites softly and quietly, which makes that technique easy on the Z H2.
Chain spray and road dirt settle on the rear brake, so clean the caliper when you service the chain. When changing pads, clean the pistons before pushing them back, and press the pedal several times until pressure returns. Check the rear pad at each tyre change, since it is easy to overlook.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato catalogues AGPP88 for the rear of the Z 1000 H2 from 2020 to 2026, shown in our garage as the Kawasaki Z H2. The front pad for the same years is AGPA177. No disc is listed. One box equips the single rear caliper; compare the new pads with the old ones.
Road Approval
There is no ABE or approval certificate for AGPP88OR in our records, so it is offered for competition.
Scope of Delivery
Two Organic rear pads in one box.
