Two Choices Pulling the Same Way

Short case and dark finish compound rather than balance. The Moto GP is already the most compact silencer in Spark's catalogue; putting it in a finish that absorbs light instead of reflecting it removes the last thing that would have drawn the eye.

On a bike as visually loud as a Super Duke, that restraint is a real position rather than an absence of one. The frame, the tank and the trellis do the talking; the exhaust says nothing at all.

Dark Where It Runs Hottest

A short silencer concentrates its heat in a small case, and the leading end of it is the hottest part of any silencer. On raw titanium that shows as a colour gradient within the first few thousand kilometres.

The dark finish does not develop that gradient, which on a case this short matters more than it would on a long one — there is less silencer for the colour to spread across, so on titanium the tinting occupies a larger proportion of what you see. If you want the pair to look the same in three years as on the first day, this is the version.

Approved, Despite the Size

Very short cases are usually where homologation stops, because absorption depends on the distance the gas travels through packing. Spark certifies this kit as a complete assembly — pipework, both case volumes and the packing together — which is how a silencer this compact carries a Euro5 approval.

The result is a motorcycle that looks stripped and passes an inspection unchanged. That combination is rare enough to be the reason these kits exist.

What You Give Up for It

Every under-seat kit Spark builds for this bike carries the same two restrictions, and they are not negotiable: the passenger footrests cannot be kept, and the RR version cannot be converted.

The silencers occupy the space the footrest hangers use — there is no bracket that solves it. If the pillion seat has to stay usable, Spark's lateral slip-ons GKT0113TOM and GKT0113DOM keep it, save more weight and cost less than half as much. They also leave the exhaust visible, which is the opposite of what this kit is for.
