A classic silhouette, a black finish, and no catalytic converter anywhere in it. Spark's most understated Trident exhaust is also one of its least legal — which makes it a very specific kind of purchase.
Key Features
- Racing full system for the Triumph Trident 660, Tiger Sport 660 and Daytona 660, 2021 to 2026.
- Black ceramic treatment on the pre-silencer box.
- 60's silencer from Spark's modern-classic range.
- No catalytic converter.
- AISI 304 stainless collector and pre-silencer box.
- Around two hundred euros below the homologated Black Series version.
The Combination Nobody Expects
Most racing exhausts announce themselves. This one does the opposite: a period-shaped silencer, a matte black system, and nothing about the outline that suggests anything has been changed.
Underneath there is no converter at all. Spark builds the same system with one in the box as GTR8819BOM, and that version carries a certificate from the Italian Ministry of Transport. This one does not, and no amount of restraint in the finish alters that.
What the Box Still Does
Removing the catalyst does not turn this into a straight-through system. The pre-silencer box stays, and it is the component that gives Spark's Trident exhausts a dark, enveloping note rather than a raw one.
On a track bike that matters more than it sounds. A system with a genuine expansion chamber ahead of the silencer measures lower at a sound check than one without — and the 60's, being a longer case, helps again. This is the quietest racing system Spark builds for this motorcycle.
Ceramic Where the Road Hits
The black treatment is a ceramic layer cured onto the box, and on a low-mounted component that is a durability decision as much as a visual one. The box hangs under the engine, collects everything the front wheel throws up, and bakes it on at every stop.
Bare stainless survives that but does not look untouched afterwards. A ceramic layer gives the surface something to lose before the steel does, and it does not go through the blue-brown heat-tint sequence around the hottest section.
Two Hundred Euros, One Certificate
The difference between this system and the homologated GTR8819BOM is a racing catalytic converter in the pre-silencer box — and about two hundred euros.
Read that in the right direction. You are not saving two hundred euros on a finish; you are declining to buy the component that makes the exhaust road legal. On a motorcycle that will only be ridden on closed circuits that is a sensible economy. On a registered one it is not an economy at all, because the system cannot be used.
Fitment & Compatibility
Triumph Trident 660, Tiger Sport 660 and Daytona 660, 2021 through 2026. The homologated version in the same finish is GTR8819BOM. The plain stainless racing system is GTR8819I. The Grid-O racing system, with a 3-into-1 racing pipe, is GTR8820T.
Road Approval
None. The system has no catalytic converter and no certificate. Closed circuits only.
