Fitting
Remove the old visor as the helmet's mechanism intends and fit the new one in its place. The price list gives no instructions. Test all visor positions afterwards and make sure the visor closes evenly against the seal, with no gap at the sides. Shark lists VZ30025P in its own compatibility overview for the Spartan RS and the Spartan GT Pro, so the fit is confirmed by the manufacturer.
Approval and legal use
A clear visor is the one version that raises no question after dark. The French line of the price list describes this visor as HOMOLOGUE; an approval number is not part of the list, so if you need it, read it from the marking on the visor. Rules on tinted visors vary by country, which is why a clear visor is the safest everyday choice.
Before you order
Three visors for these helmets are easy to confuse. VZ30025P is clear and, according to its designation, anti-fog; it does not mention Pinlock pins. VZ30012P is also available in clear but has pins for a Pinlock insert and costs less in that version. VZ30010P is smoked with pins. Choose by what your old visor carries: the number, the code INC, and whether it had pins.
Keeping it serviceable
The anti-fog treatment lasts longest when it is not rubbed away. Rinse with lukewarm water, dab dry with a clean microfibre cloth, and avoid solvents, glass cleaner and paper towels on the inside. Dust and insects on the outside come off more easily after a minute under a damp cloth.
