DescriptionThe whole story▼

The KTM 890 SMT is a supermoto tourer: long-travel suspension, road wheels and an upright riding position that makes it a surprisingly practical everyday bike. Accossato's AGPA96 front pad in the Organic mixture fits the 890 SMT of model year 2024. It suits owners who use the SMT to commute, run errands and ride through town, who appreciate a quiet front brake with a soft first bite, and who want their discs to go on for many seasons.

Key Features

  • Front pads AGPA96 for the KTM 890 SMT, 2024
  • Organic mixture, SKU AGPA96OR
  • Accossato highlights a long working life and low disc wear
  • Gentle, progressive bite for town riding
  • Usually quiet at low speed
  • Works straight away on cold mornings
  • Same plate available as ST, EV1, EV2 and ZXC
  • No ABE on file with us; for track use

Construction and Material Quality

According to Accossato, this mixture keeps performing for longer and treats the disc gently. For an SMT that covers short daily journeys that means a slower rhythm of workshop visits and discs that wear only a little. On the wider range, the Italian company adds that its pads limit heat build-up, which keeps fade low, and that they still stop firmly. The friction layer is bonded to the usual AGPA96 plate, so the calipers need no modification.

Supermoto Posture, City Routine

The upright seat and wide bars of the SMT give a commanding view of traffic, and many riders enjoy it most on a busy urban route. There the front brake is used often but gently: rolling to a stop at lights, easing off before a speed bump, slowing for a bus pulling out. An Organic pad is well matched to that routine. It bites softly from cold and builds smoothly as the lever is squeezed, which makes low-speed control relaxed even for riders new to a tall bike.

Keep an eye on pad depth whenever the tyres are checked, and clean the discs only with a dedicated brake cleaner. Replace the pads in both calipers at the same time.

Fitment and Compatibility

Accossato gives the 2024 KTM 890 SMT as the application for AGPA96 at the front. The rear caliper of the same bike takes AGPA29, also for 2024. No Accossato disc is listed for this model. A box equips one caliper, so check how many your SMT carries at the front, and compare the pad shape with your old set.

Road Approval

We do not have an ABE or German approval mark for AGPA96OR. The pads are sold for racing and competition use.

Scope of Delivery
