Four point one kilos against seven point four. Spark's underseat racing kit for the 2025 Speed Triple, with carbon end caps — the least expensive way into the conversion, and the only version of it that has no metal on show.
Key Features
- Racing underseat twin kit for the Triumph Speed Triple 1200 RS and RR, 2025 to 2026 only.
- Two Dyno silencers with carbon fibre end caps.
- 4.1 kg against 7.4 kg standard — 3.3 kg saved.
- The original catalytic converter remains fitted.
- No ECU remapping required.
- Must be used with the dB killer installed.
The Price Ladder
Spark offers this kit with carbon caps or with red anodised aluminium ones, and charges around a hundred and ten euros more for the metal. Nothing else changes between them: same silencers, same weight, same routing, same restrictions.
What the anodised version adds is a machined object — 6000-series aluminium cut on a five-axis CNC, perforated, with different radii inside and out. Whether that is worth the difference is a question about the motorcycle rather than about the exhaust, and both answers are reasonable.
A Lighter Standard Exhaust to Beat
The 2025 Speed Triple's standard system weighs 7.4 kg, against 7.7 kg on the earlier bike. Triumph made the original lighter, so the saving this kit delivers is 3.3 kg rather than the 3.6 kg it achieves on MY21-24.
That is worth knowing if you are comparing figures between the two generations. The Spark kit weighs the same in both; it is the exhaust it replaces that changed.
Race Configuration, Standard Electronics
Spark leaves the catalytic converter on the motorcycle, so the lambda arrangement is untouched, no remap is needed and no error lights appear. What the kit replaces is everything behind the converter.
The dB killer is not optional here — Spark states in capitals that the exhaust must be used with it installed. Two short cases exiting under the seat of a 1,200 cc triple is not a quiet arrangement without one.
Where Carbon Earns Its Place
The end cap is the one point on an exhaust where carbon fibre is doing a real job rather than decorating one. It sits at the coolest part of the system, after the gas has given up most of its heat, and carries no load beyond closing the case.
Under the seat, where these outlets point rearwards and are fully exposed, a matt woven surface reads very differently from a bright machined one. It is the quieter of the two finishes on a motorcycle that is not quiet in any other respect.
Fitment & Compatibility
Triumph Speed Triple 1200 RS and RR, 2025 through 2026 only. The same kit with red anodised caps is GTR0109TR. For MY21-24 the equivalents are GTR0106TC and GTR0106TR. The homologated slip-ons for this model year are GTR0108TOM and GTR0108DOM.
Road Approval
None. The kit carries no EC certificate, even though the catalytic converter remains in place. Closed circuits only.
