DescriptionThe whole story▼

When the roads are wet, many riders lean more on the rear brake because it feels safer than a hard squeeze at the front. For the Honda CBR300R of 2014 to 2023 Accossato offers the AGPP185 rear pad in Sintered (ST) mixture, designed to keep a steady bite in rain and cold and suited to owners who ride through the whole year, often with a bag strapped to the seat.

Key Features

  • Rear pads for the Honda CBR300R of 2014 to 2023
  • Article AGPP185ST in Sintered (ST) mixture
  • Accossato promises even grip from low to high temperatures and in the wet
  • For year-round riding, luggage and damp roads
  • The bike has one rear caliper; one box is enough
  • Organic (OR) is also listed for this plate
  • Firm, predictable pedal after splashes and spray
  • No German ABE in our records; for competition

Construction and Material Quality

Accossato's ST material is described as keeping a high, constant grip whatever the temperature and as working reliably when wet. At the back of the CBR300R, where the disc sits in the spray from the rear tyre, that is the property that keeps the pedal trustworthy. The AGPP185 plate is shared with the organic version, so the difference lies only in the friction material and in the conditions it is chosen for.

The Rear Brake in Rain and Cold

A light single-cylinder bike on a wet winter road rewards smooth, measured inputs. A rear pad that bites the same way on a damp disc as on a dry one makes those inputs easier to judge, whether the rider is alone or has a rucksack and a bag on board.

Winter riding means dirt and salt around the rear caliper. When changing pads, clean the piston and the caliper body, check the disc edge for rust ridges and look at the fluid in the rear reservoir. Keep chain lube away from the brake and press the pedal until it firms up before riding off. After a wet week it is worth rinsing road salt off the caliper with plain water rather than a pressure washer, which can push dirt past the seals and into the places it does the most harm.

Fitment and Compatibility

The AGPP185 is Accossato's rear pad for the Honda CBR300R, listed as CBR 300 R from 2014 to 2023. The rear has one caliper. For the front brake the catalogue lists the AGPA81 for the same years.

Road Approval

The AGPP185ST has no ABE or German inspection document in our files. We sell it for racing and competition use.

Scope of Delivery

The box holds two AGPP185 pads in Sintered (ST) mixture for the single rear caliper of the CBR300R.
