DescriptionThe whole story▼

The Accossato 10.5 mm radial brake master cylinder is built with its fluid reservoir cast into the body, rather than fitted as a separate tank, and is recommended by Accossato for offroad motorcycles, scooters and pitbikes where a compact, self-contained front brake pump is useful. The lever is a standard-length folding design offered in seven colours, with the adjusting knob and reservoir cover finished to match, and a quick release jumper on the fixing riser speeds up removing the unit for servicing.

Key Features

  • 10.5 mm piston diameter, recommended for offroad motorcycles, scooters and pitbikes
  • Integrated fluid reservoir built into the master cylinder body
  • Standard-length folding lever, available in seven colours
  • Adjusting knob and reservoir cover finished in the same colour as the lever
  • Forged aluminium pump body with a CNC-machined cover and lever
  • Fixing riser with a quick-release jumper for faster servicing
  • Stainless steel mounting screws and a zinc-plated bleed valve
  • Seals manufactured from Formula 1 compound material

Construction and Material Quality

This master cylinder is made in Italy with a forged aluminium pump body, while the cover and the lever itself are CNC machined for a precise fit and finish. The mounting screws are stainless steel, the bleed valve is zinc-plated steel, and the seals inside the unit are made from Formula 1 compound to keep sealing reliably as the brake fluid heats and cools during use. The fixing riser that clamps the unit to the handlebar also carries a quick-release jumper, letting the master cylinder be taken off the bar for servicing without having to disconnect the brake hose each time.

Why the Reservoir Is Built In

Smaller motorcycles, scooters and pitbikes often have less room around the handlebar for a separate fluid reservoir and its mounting bracket, so this unit carries its reservoir inside the main body instead of as a bolt-on tank. That keeps the whole assembly more compact and tidier on narrower bars, while still giving the system somewhere for the fluid to expand as the brake heats up. The 10.5 mm piston is sized to suit the lighter braking demands of the machines Accossato recommends it for, rather than the dual-disc sportbike setups served by the larger pistons elsewhere in the range.

Fitment and Compatibility

Accossato does not list specific motorcycles against this master cylinder, and our own fitment data records none either; it is built as a universal 10.5 mm radial brake pump with an integrated reservoir, aimed at a 22 mm handlebar clamp. Confirm your handlebar diameter and check that your front brake suits a 10.5 mm piston with a built-in reservoir before ordering.

Road Approval

This master cylinder is not supplied with German road-approval documentation; it is intended for track and competition use.

Scope of Delivery

The package includes the Accossato 10.5 mm radial brake master cylinder with its integrated fluid reservoir, fitted with the standard-length folding lever and matching adjusting knob and reservoir cover, in the colour selected. Stainless steel mounting screws, the zinc-plated bleed valve, the Formula 1 compound seals and the quick-release fixing riser are assembled on the unit. The stop light switch is not included and must be purchased separately.
