DescriptionThe whole story▼
The Rush 1000 is MV Agusta's most flamboyant four-cylinder: a limited-production machine based on the Brutale 1000, with a distinctive headlight, a covered rear wheel and a look inspired by straight-line speed. Wherever it appears, people gather round it, and a track-day paddock is no exception. That is pleasant for the owner, but an audience leaning over the bike is not what you want while the tank is open. For the Rush 1000 of 2019 to 2023, Accossato lists the FC119, a quick-release aluminium tank cap with a pin in one of six colours.
Key Features
- Quick-release fuel tank cap for the MV Agusta Rush 1000, 2019 to 2023
- Made completely from CNC-machined aluminium
- Quick-closing pawl
- Pin in blue, green, black, red, silver or gold
- Replacement pawl sold separately
- New design, robust and durable according to Accossato
- No German ABE documented; for track use
Construction and Material Quality
The FC119 consists solely of aluminium shaped by CNC machines, and Accossato gives its word that the cap is robust and durable; the design is new. A quick-closing pawl opens the Rush 1000's filler without fuss and closes it again just as easily. Six colours are available for the pin on that pawl. Should the pawl ever be damaged, Accossato offers a replacement separately.
When Visitors Gather Round
A rare bike attracts visitors, and around a Rush 1000 they come in a steady stream: riders from neighbouring garages, marshals on their break, children who have spotted that unusual rear wheel. Most of them are welcome, but not while you refuel. Before opening the FC119, ask people to step back a few paces, and make sure, politely but firmly, that nobody is smoking or holding anything that could spark anywhere near the bike. Keep hands, sleeves, camera straps and curious noses away from the open filler, and if children are watching, tell them why. A short explanation usually does the job, and most people are glad to learn something about paddock routine. Then pour, close the cap, wipe the tank and put the can away before you invite everyone back for a closer look. If the stream of visitors never stops, move the bike to a quieter corner of your space for refuelling, or simply do it before the paddock gets busy in the morning.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists the Rush 1000 of 2019 to 2023 with the FC119, and this product covers the same years. The cap is also listed with us for the Brutale 1000 RR and the F4 1000. Check your Rush against the application list before ordering.
Road Approval
The FC119 has no German ABE and no documented parts certificate, so it belongs on closed circuits. On the road, the Rush 1000 needs its original cap, which usually opens with the ignition key.
