DescriptionThe whole story▼
The Triumph Street Triple 660 S has a chassis that encourages riders to explore corners, and many owners start to look at trackdays once they are comfortable on the road. The Accossato AGPA72 front pad in EV1 street/track compound suits that transition. Listed for the 660 S from 2017 to 2020, it gives a sharper initial bite than the everyday materials while remaining practical for riding to and from the circuit.
Key Features
- Front pads for the Triumph Street Triple 660 S, 2017 to 2020
- EV1 street/track compound on the AGPA72 shape (AGPA72EV1)
- For spirited road riding and first trackdays
- Accossato claims excellent grip on the street and on amateur circuits
- Two pads per box; two boxes for the twin front calipers
- Alternatives: OR, ST and EV2 on the same shape
- Competition use only, no German ABE
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato describes EV1 as offering excellent grip on the street and for amateur track riding. On the AGPA72 plate it provides a step up from the everyday options, with a crisper bite once warm but without being tied to racing temperatures. The company states its pads are designed to last, resist fade by keeping heat in check, and deliver good stopping power.
Your First Trackday on the 660 S
A first trackday is about building confidence and learning where to brake. The 660 S is a friendly bike for this, and a front pad that responds consistently lap after lap helps. Before the day, fit the new pads to both calipers and bed them in on the road. Check the fluid and consider a fresh bleed if it has not been changed recently. On the day, let the brakes cool between sessions, and check the pads and discs during breaks.
Riding Home Afterwards
The advantage of a street/track compound is that you do not have to swap pads after the event. EV1 is designed to work at normal road temperatures as well, so the ride home on the 660 S remains relaxed. Keep an eye on wear, though, as circuit use eats pad material faster than commuting does.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists the AGPA72 at the front of the Triumph Street Triple 660 S from 2017 to 2020, as Street Triple S 660. The bike has two front calipers, so buy two boxes for a full front change. At the rear the AGPP91 is listed for the same years, and the DK203 disc is also listed. OR, ST and EV2 are the other compounds for this shape.
Road Approval
No test certificate or German ABE is available to us for EV1, so these pads are sold for circuit and competition use.
