Sprint Filter's comparison has a four-layer oiled cotton filter holding 76.42 per cent of 100-micron test particles against 93.13 per cent for the dry P08. If the roads are genuinely severe, finer media exist — the P14 at 14 microns, the T12 at 7 — and each step finer costs flow, from 5,050 litres per square metre per second for the P08 down to 560 for the T12.
