DescriptionThe whole story▼
A sequential indicator is noticed, and that is the safety argument. That is the FRE925NER: a sequential pair for front and rear use. The listing covers the HYPERMOTARD 821 across 6 model years (2013 to 2018).
Key Features
- LighTech part number FRE925NER
- Designed to be combined with LighTech licence plate holders
- E8 type approval for the indicator pair
- Covers the HYPERMOTARD 821 across 6 model years (2013 to 2018)
- May need a load resistor or an LED flasher relay — see the note below
- Black only
Movement Over Blinking
Sequential indicators are as much about being noticed as about looks. The FRE925NER is E8 approved and usable front and rear. Supplied as a pair.
Fitment
Fitment is the HYPERMOTARD 821 across 2013 to 2018. It is the bracket, not the model, that determines whether it bolts up. Have FRE925NER and the model year to hand and the question is settled in one message.
LEDs and Your Flasher
The FRE925NER is an LED unit, and that has a consequence. LighTech states that some motorcycles need a specific relay or resistor. An LED draws too little current for a standard flasher on the HYPERMOTARD 821, which then blinks at double speed. If you are not comfortable with the wiring on the HYPERMOTARD 821, have it fitted — LighTech says the same.
Installation
The FRE925NER is wired like a conventional indicator. Test all functions with the ignition on before the first ride. Nothing on the HYPERMOTARD 821 is altered permanently.
What You Get
Two indicators per box. No brackets included.
Approval
The FRE925NER carries E8 type approval, which is a European component approval. What is approved is the component. How it is mounted on the HYPERMOTARD 821 is judged on its own. We would rather you asked your inspection body than discovered it at the next test.
