DescriptionThe whole story▼
On a Brutale Dragster 800 the reservoir has to survive weather, washing and the occasional knock. LighTech's OBT007 holds 16 cm³: machined aluminium outside, clear plastic inside so the level stays readable. Finish choice runs to 8 and changes nothing about the fit. Nothing on the Brutale Dragster 800 is cut or drilled to fit it.
Key Features
- Laser-engraved LighTech logo on the shell
- 8 anodised finishes for the Brutale Dragster 800: Black, Blue, Gold, Green, Grey, Orange, Red, Silver
- Fitting the OBT007 to the Brutale Dragster 800 needs hand tools only
- Reversible — the original part goes back on the Brutale Dragster 800 any time
- Universal by design: LighTech builds one reservoir, not one per MV Agusta model
- Supplied individually for the Brutale Dragster 800
Application
The listing is for the Brutale Dragster 800 and the years 2013 to 2018. LighTech builds this reservoir as a universal part — it is not machined to the Brutale Dragster 800 specifically, and the fit depends on where you mount it.
Fitting
Fitting the OBT007 to a Brutale Dragster 800 is a hand-tool job. Catch the fluid, swap the reservoir, refit the hose and bleed the system before the Brutale Dragster 800 moves. Instructions are in the box; the Brutale Dragster 800 needs no modification.
Why the Original Falls Short
A fluid reservoir does two things, and the factory part does only one of them. Billet outside for strength and finish, plastic inside for visibility — that is the whole idea of the OBT007. At 106 g it weighs about what the plastic original does.
Sold Separately
A mount is not included with the OBT007. The brackets are listed under OBT003, OBT008 and OBT009; they differ in height and projection, not in quality. We can advise which of the three suits your Brutale Dragster 800 — it takes one question.
Maintenance
A translucent liner only helps if you look at it; make the OBT007 part of the pre-ride check. There is no service interval for the part itself.
Scope of Delivery
One reservoir per box, with its sealing gasket. Packaging carries the reference, so a second order is unambiguous.
Regulations and the Hydraulic Circuit
What looks like a cosmetic swap on the Brutale Dragster 800 is a change to a safety system. No approval paperwork comes with the OBT007 and we do not present it as approved. Have a workshop bleed and pressure-test the Brutale Dragster 800 circuit once the part is on, whatever your inspector says.
