A side stand is the one component on a motorcycle that has to hold the whole machine up while nobody is watching it. Fullsix builds this one as a hybrid — a metal core and pivot carrying the load, with carbon forming the visible arm — rather than as a laminate asked to do a metal's job.

Be Clear About What This Is
Fullsix does not publish a load rating, a test standard or an approval number for this part. That is worth saying plainly on a component that carries a 200-kilogram motorcycle on soft ground, on a camber, in the wind. The construction is sound and the part is sold for road use, but the manufacturer states no figure and neither will we.
What can be said is that the metal core means the failure mode people fear from carbon — a laminate splitting under a point load — is not the one that applies here.
Fitment and Compatibility
BMW S1000R, model years 2013 to 2016 only. The 2017 facelift changed the mounting and uses MB-RR15-TC29 instead. Check the model year before ordering; the two stands look similar in photographs and are not interchangeable.
Road Approval
Fullsix publishes neither an ABE nor an EC type-approval number for this part, and no load rating. Confirm the position for your own registration before road use.
Practical Advice
A stand puck is worth more here than on a steel stand. The contact area at the foot is small, and on hot tarmac or gravel a puck spreads the load and keeps the motorcycle upright. That advice applies to the original stand too; it simply matters more when the replacement cost is this one.
